14th Annual Golf Classic Continues Tradition of Supporting Education Across Baldwin County

FAIRHOPE, Alabama — The Baldwin Education Coalition partnered with Baldwin County Sewer Service to host the 14th Annual Golf Classic on September 10 at Rock Creek Golf Club in Fairhope, continuing a longstanding tradition of bringing the community together to support public education across Baldwin County.
This year’s sold-out tournament welcomed 36 teams and 120 participants for an afternoon of friendly competition, community connection and fundraising for education. The 2026 Golf Classic grossed $56,718, bringing the tournament’s 14-year total to $407,136 in net proceeds supporting education throughout Baldwin County.
Baldwin County Sewer Service launched the tournament and selected the Baldwin County Education Coalition as its beneficiary because the Coalition’s work serves students and educators throughout the entire county. Fourteen years later, that partnership continues, and the Annual Golf Classic has grown into the Coalition’s largest fundraising event and one of Baldwin County’s premier golf tournaments.
A Day on the Greens
Players enjoyed lunch before the 1 p.m. shotgun start, followed by an afternoon of golf at Rock Creek that included complimentary beverages and cigars, contests, door prizes and plenty of friendly competition. The tournament concluded with dinner, awards and recognition of this year’s top teams and individual winners.

1st Place: Underground, Inc.
2nd Place: Identity Signs
3rd Place: BCSS Team III – Mayor Teal
4th Place: SA Recycling
Longest Drive: Judah Tally, BCSS Team III
Closest to the Pin: Jesse Greer, WKRG
The competition didn’t end with the leaderboard. As the two highest-scoring teams of the day, players from Quincy Compressor and BCSS Team II had an opportunity to turn their finish into a big win with the Golf Classic’s $2,500 Dice Roll. Two players from each team took their shot, but the prize ultimately went unclaimed.
The day also featured the Golf Classic Blanton’s Giveaway, giving participants the chance to win a complete eight-bottle set of Blanton’s Original Single Barrel Bourbon. Congratulations to Jordan Ammons of Dewberry, who was drawn as this year’s lucky winner!
Fourteen Years of Community Support
The Annual Golf Classic has become much more than a day on the course. Year after year, local businesses, organizations and community members come together through the tournament to invest in the Coalition’s work to meet educational needs where public funding falls short.
With $407,136 in net proceeds generated over the past 14 years, that support has helped the Coalition invest in programs and initiatives that strengthen public education and create opportunities for students and educators throughout Baldwin County.
