(the “Coalition,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and values the trust of our students, educators, donors, volunteers, partners, and community members. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you visit www.betterbaldwin.com and any Coalition webpage that links to this Policy (collectively, the “Website”). The Website Terms of Use that follow govern your use of the Website.
This Policy applies to information collected through the Website and related online interactions controlled by the Coalition. Third-party websites, platforms, applications, and services have their own privacy policies and terms, which apply when you use those services.
Privacy Policy
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide to us. We may collect information you voluntarily provide, such as your name, email address, mailing address, telephone number, communication preferences, donation or transaction details, event registration information, survey responses, volunteer information, program or scholarship application information, uploaded documents, and the contents of messages or materials you send to us.
Information collected automatically. When you visit or interact with the Website, we and our service providers may automatically collect technical and usage information such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring website, pages viewed, links clicked, dates and times of access, approximate location derived from your IP address, interactions with Website content, and cookie, pixel, or similar identifiers.
Payment information. Online donations, purchases, and certain event transactions are processed by third-party payment providers. The Coalition may receive transaction information such as your name, contact information, donation amount, designation, payment status, and limited payment details, but we generally do not receive or store your full credit card or bank account number.

The Website uses cookies, pixels, tags, local storage, and similar technologies. These technologies may be placed by the Coalition or by third-party providers and may be used for the following purposes:

4. reCAPTCHA and Website-Security Tools
The Website uses Google reCAPTCHA and may use other website-security, fraud-prevention, firewall, malware-scanning, spam-detection, and monitoring tools. These services help distinguish legitimate users from automated or abusive activity and protect Website forms, systems, and data. In connection with those functions, the providers may process technical and interaction information such as IP address, device and browser information, cookies or identifiers, mouse movements, keystroke timing, form interactions, and risk or security signals. Shopify for the Palm Project online store;
Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google reCAPTCHA, Google Maps, and related Google services;
YouTube or other video-hosting providers for embedded video content;
Meta Pixel or other tracking and campaign-measurement providers;
Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other social-media platforms;
Infogram and other interactive-content providers;
Third-party form, survey, application, registration, and file-upload providers;
Website hosting, content-management, cookie-consent, cybersecurity, firewall, spam-prevention, backup, and technical-support providers; and

Providers and services may change over time. The Coalition does not control third-party websites or services and is not responsible for their content, security, availability, or privacy practices. 9. Email and Other Communications
You may unsubscribe from promotional email communications by using the unsubscribe link included in the message or by contacting us. Even after you opt out of promotional messages, we may continue to send administrative or transactional communications related to a donation, registration, application, request, or ongoing relationship with the Coalition.
10. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, maintain appropriate organizational and donor records, comply with legal, tax, accounting, reporting, security, or contractual requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods may vary based on the type of information and the reason it was collected.
