The Baldwin Education Coalition supports educators through scholarships, professional development, and recognition programs to help them grow and continue making an impact in the classroom.
Baldwin Proud Future Teacher Scholarship and Josh Hall Memorial Scholarship
Whether you’re advancing your career in education or taking the first step toward becoming a certified educator, the Baldwin Proud Future Teacher Scholarship and Josh Hall Memorial Scholarship are here to support your professional journey.
These scholarships are available to current Baldwin County Public School educators pursuing advanced degrees, or earning administrator certification, and to school system employees seeking to become an educator.
Applicants must submit a new application each year for consideration.
Application Period: January 5 - March 5 each year
Approximately 60 scholarships are awarded.
Scholarship recipients are recognized during the annual Scholarship Banquet in April.
Teacher Professional Development
Great schools begin with great educators. The Baldwin Education Coalition is committed to investing in teachers by providing meaningful professional development opportunities that inspire innovation, strengthen instructional practices, and ultimately improve student achievement.
Throughout the year, the Coalition partners with Baldwin County Public Schools to support workshops, training opportunities, and educational initiatives that help educators grow professionally and remain at the forefront of best practices.
A cornerstone of this commitment is the Gulf Regional Innovative Teaching Conference (GRITC), an annual professional development conference that brings together hundreds of educators for engaging keynote presentations, hands-on learning experiences, and collaborative networking. GRITC equips teachers with innovative strategies, practical resources, and fresh ideas they can implement in their classrooms.

Recognizing Excellence
Exceptional educators and employees deserve to be recognized for the lasting impact and difference they make in the lives of students. The Baldwin Education Coalition is proud to celebrate excellence in education through programs and events that honor the dedication, innovation, and commitment of our teachers.
Our signature Teacher of the Year Banquet brings together educators, school leaders, community partners, and supporter to recognize outstanding teachers from every Baldwin County public school.
Highlights include:
Honoring exceptional educators representing more than 40 public school campuses.
Celebrating the district’s top educator who advance to regional and state-level Teacher of the Year competitions.
Recognizing new certified National Board Certified Teachers for their commitment to professional excellence.
Honoring and recognizing the district’s elementary and secondary Counselors of the Year.
The Coalition also proudly supports Baldwin County Public Schools’ Employee of the Month program, recognizing two outstanding employees each month for their dedication and service to students, schools, and community. Each honoree receives a special sward along with a gift bag filled with items generously donated by local businesses and community partners.
