Gulf Regional Innovative Training Conference

The Baldwin Education Coalition is proud to host the Gulf Regional Innovative Teaching Conference (GRITC), a professional development conference designed for teachers, by teachers. Held each summer in late July before the start of the new school year, the three-day conference brings educators together for collaborative learning, practical strategies, and professional growth.

GRITC offers a wide range of sessions tailored to different grade levels, subject areas, and professional interests. In 2026, the conference welcomed 687 unique attendees and offered 197 individual sessions, giving educators throughout the region access to a broad mix of ideas, tools, and resources they can take back to their classrooms.

Effective schools are built on the foundation of well-trained and well-supported educators. GRITC reflects the Coalition’s commitment to elevating educators by creating meaningful opportunities for teachers and school professionals to learn from one another, strengthen their practice, and prepare for the year ahead.
