Watching the bottom line

In keeping with the mandate for increased accountability and transparency called for by the Co-owned Strategic Plan, a county-wide Funding Task Force has been convened by the Coalition to monitor school system finances and learn more about education funding issues.

Their initial focus includes a comprehensive review of the FY 2012 budget and presentation of a final audit report on school system efficiency by the Public Affairs Research Council of Alabama

The Funding Task Force will continue work in 2012 to study future budget needs and will ultimately make recommendations for community action..
